Unresolved Karma
One of the hardest parts of being a Twin Flame is the shortened and linked Karma. Twins are forced to resolve all of their Karma in a lifetime. The compacted time frame makes growth all the more painful. For example a non twin in a relationship can walk away if their partner isn't willing to go along for the ride. Each person holds their own Karma in the situation and either can choose to move forward together or not. In the case of Twin Flames (TF), there isn't this option. In order to move forward into your optimal life, or be able to execute your dreams, you must do it together. Being a TF demands that there is a limit to growth that can only be surpassed when the TF come together. If in your life you feel like you are on the right path, but you are coming up against a wall, or things aren't quite opening up for you, you are required to turn away from the door you want to open and embrace your TF. And as the rules of TF requires, both must be willing to face each other.
Giving Up But Not In
TF Karma asks to you give up the fighting. This can be very difficult because both parties have to stop their addiction to the drama and pain. Sometimes we get stuck in situation where we hurt for so long that the freedom of love outside of that situation is scary. It is difficult enough to rewrite relationship scripts, add in TF connection and you will have another layer of difficulty to tear away.
Everything in life is easier and more difficult than it seems. When you give up the pain, and hurt that is part of the TF process, and fully embrace your connection with gratitude and love whether you are together or not, you will see a marked change in your relationship.
Embracing Your Shadow Self
In shamanic tradition there is something called the Shadow Self. It is the reverse of who we are. It is a mirror of what we are not willing to face. It can manifest as fear, or as love. Digging deep into yourself and loving your darkest parts will enable you to love your Shadow Self.
TFs are living Shadow Selves. Each TF is a reflection of the other. Every time a TF interacts with it's Twin, they are reflected back. Do you love your reflection? Does your Twin? It is easy to run from your Shadow. For TFs to move forward they have to embrace their Shadow Self. Again unconditional love and gratitude will go a long way in helping the process.
Walking into Ego Death
Being an outsider to a multitude of TF has been an interesting experience. All of the TF I know are Awake and on a Spirit Path. Most people don't Awaken until after ego death, or until they have accepted that ego death is something they have to be willing to embrace. Not so for TF. They very much still have ego as a driving force. When two ego driven people are asked to face each other, the results are not generally good.
When you release your ego you release the pain that comes with it. Ego demands we put ourselves first. Living after ego death asks us to walk the line of caring for ourselves, forgiving ourselves and others easily, while also putting others first. Ego death provides us with the connection to our innermost soul. Ego demands that we do things that put us first, win, strive, and cut loose anyone who isn't going to push us higher. Ego can manipulate everything into pain and anger. Going through the pain of ego death will actually give you more power over your life. Being human is not a race or a competition. Being human is the understanding that pain and fear will be ever present, but they are part of what makes our souls grow. Ego does not allow growth, but instead provides the false idea that growth is occurring when in fact it is just the opposite.
If you have ego and you try to embrace your shadow self you may find it next to impossible. Ego does not love unconditionally. Ego does not have patience. Ego does not have forgiveness. Ego does not trust. So if you try to embrace your shadow self or your TF it will be like two magnets with the same magnetic pole trying to stick together. It will never happen. Magnets and TF work best when each is the opposite stuck together.
Forgiveness
The hardest part of being a human is embracing the core of forgiveness. Forgiveness is the ultimate release of pain. It is also accepting fully that the past cannot change and releasing any hope that it might.
TF are constantly fighting themselves internally and with each other. The compressed time for healing Karma also multiplies the pain of growth. I see a lot of Twins wanting xyz from the other Twin. They want the other Twin to be ready faster, or see the mistakes they are making. They want it yesterday. Do you see how this is ego and not forgiveness?
When a TF fully forgives their other half and themselves, they are able to embrace the bridge of cooperation. For adult survivors of childhood abuse there is a technique that provides a safe place for the injured child to heal and grow. We have to be willing to make this space for ourselves and others. We have to forgive ourselves for not being who we thought we were, for taking time, and for not choosing healing earlier. For TF this is extremely important. You will never be able to embrace your TF if you cannot embrace the pain and darkness that lives inside of you.
Living the Dream
Like I was discussing before, being a TF means you will not be able to launch yourself in growth or in goals until you are actively doing it with your Twin. Being a TF is a gift, but like the gifts of pain and fear, you have to be careful how you use it. You may know what you need to do in the future, or are trying really hard now to set a foundation for a successful future, but it isn't working quite right. Why is that happening? You are working as hard you can.
Being a TF demands that you dig deeper into yourself before you rise. Resurrection will occur and everything will transform, but you have to be willing to do the internal prep work. I can hear you saying that your TF won't speak to you or that you cut them off, etc. You don't need them to do the internal work. Don't forget they are your mirror. Embrace Ego Death, begin to forgive the past and be patient for things to start working better.
Signing up for the TF process is like volunteering to walk through a volcano, while everyone else just does a series of walking on hot coals. Are you ready to be reforged? Are you ready to let the Universe drive your growth? Are you ready to transform from pain, fear and excuses?
